Neurodivergence
ADHD, autism, and other forms of neurodivergence aren’t “deficits,” they’re differences. Too often, neurodivergent people hear that their ways of existing aren’t just different, they’re bad. Maybe you’ve internalized the message that you’re weak, lazy, or unreliable. Maybe you wonder how other people manage to juggle everything they do, when the smallest things leave you wanting to crawl into bed for the next year. Maybe you’re exhausted from scripting conversations before you have them or ruminating afterward, trying to figure out where you went wrong.
If you’re neurodivergent, or think you might be, your struggles make sense. Your brain works differently, which can affect your focus, your memory, your emotions, your sensory experiences, and every other area of your life. In therapy, we can work together to understand how your brain works, supporting you as you are, instead of trying to be someone else.
